i just missed taping the 1st 1/2 hr of 大佬爱美丽! so sian! arghz, was bz organising my IE n firefox bookmarks in my lappy cos they were in such a mess, till i forgot e time n forgot to tape e 1st 1/2 hr of that show. so SIAN!!! dis kind of things oways happen to me... on lappy and den forget e time n forget my tv show... i can only pray that if they show it again on tv i will not miss the 1st part again. there are some shows that i oways miss e 1st part den miss e rerun of it and oways miss e next rerun of it... till they never show it again... *SOBS!!!* one such show is 神偷碟影... super duper saded...

So PLEASE if any of you have the vcd of 大佬爱美丽 PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE lend it to me!

am listening to jay's qi li xiang now... hrm haven't heard it for quite a long while already and wow i must say, it brings back a lot of memories... cos when it was 1st released i can still remember the sweetness that accompanied it, n i was at a stage when i was totally oblivious of the misery n torture that was to come at that time...

my eye is getting slightly better... e pus have like stopped coming out le... n mind u, dis is e 2nd infection that came straight after the 1st one had almost completely healed... this time it's worse, was in a terrible state all day, pus coming out and my eye was horribly painful... haiz... hopefully it'd b fine n in control b4 wed when i go for S09 chalet... really looking forward to that! heehee so quality time being with my fave jc mates and just being crazy wahha!!! ^^  

tho i've already completed all my papers on sat, i have yet to go out to enjoy yet... cos of my eye which started acting up on sat just b4 my paper... arghz sianz... i must say, dis sem's closure is kind of a sceptical 1... i am a bit bu she de but oso can't wait to get rid of modules like 2105 esp. den next comes 2301 n 2104... wahha only immensely enjoyed jap n film... oh my gosh, will miss ryan's lectures n okada's tutorials...

dun think i'm going to work dis hols... again... haha okie will try to get some part time job or smtg... hrm... i still wanna try working at a cafe or smtg... cos last chance le... anyhow will e studying jap2 and J2EE as well, hopefully can take JLPT dis yr... and if i am ambitious enuff, i might want to try taking the advance placement test for jap2 so that i can jump to jap3 next sem... hrm... c how... but den again i think shd b ok if i am hardworking and crazy enuff... think if i crazy enuff can le haha. oh yeah, n oso sell off my stuff at yahoo auctions. no harm putting the stuff up... at least there's a chance of someone being interested of buying them...

suddenly i am feeling kind of desperate about what i shd do... haiz

i feel like getting Lee Hom's 1st album on yahoo auctions. sheesh in fact i oso feel like getting the 2nd one... problem is: no 1 is selling the 2nd one... n e problem with not getting the 1st one yet is cos the selling price is at least $25. haiz shd have bought them a few years ago, now they are totally out of production in sg, this i am almost 100% sure...

i'm already v sure i am gonna get the 1) pictorial book + mac vcd 2) puma wristband 3) concert watch

went chinatown today with shiya... n low and behold! i was SO SWAY to actually bump into jiepeng there... -____-''' somemore it's face to face, walking towards each other... i saw him first but pretended not to see or recognise him. however, he chose to tap me on the shoulder and said hi. to which i just looked up, waved and siam-ed off! wahaha!!! kk for those who dunnoe, he's dis guy from pri sch, sec sch n (god help me!) jc as well. n i really dislike him... to the core. the straw that broke the camel's back was during jc when one day he totally pissed me off till i nearly scream the f word in his face and from then on, i never spoke to him ever again. yes he totally just irritates me. that is his gift and curse. bleah.

kk so i was at chinatown on my quest to find the lee hom albums. eventually din find them but yeah saw some very interesting stuff and oso bought Maksim's 'the piano player' dvd at a whopping $8.50!!! haha!!! i've just watched it and yeah it was kind of yawny. the tracks with e orchestra and percussion really were not very impressive in showcasing his skills. the classical tracks were more real but then it gets a bit boring at times. my fave piece was acually in fact the bumble bee (original version). heh! proved that he's really pro. but ultimately some things still irritated me. the dancers! his unkempt hair!!! the stupid 'mirror-image' camera shot they used on one of the tracks (so distracting!!!)! haha and he's very skinny at that time when the concert was done... now i am part grateful i din get the 2nd dvd on impulse and part curious about how much he has improved. hee! the videos were very entertaining tho oh btw!!! maksim has dis damn deep 'bass 3' voice. haha! cute!

Btw on the mrt on my way to meeting shiya, there was this super irritating uncle sitting on my right me. at 1st he was ok. but once he started taking out his newspaper to read, he opened his papers so widely till his arm was totally in contact with mine. and it was just plain uncomfortable and irritating. and the thing is this causes me to edge closer n closer towards the auntie on my left. and the stupid bugger just conveniently widens his newspapers so that i have even lesser space! it came to a point where i did not even have any space to sit properly with my shoulders all hunched up. WHOA IT'S LIKE WTF!!! so pissed off i just stood up and went to stand somewhere near the door. i wished dat part of my arm had dis horrible open wound with pus coming out, then mayb he will noe how fun it is to b in total contact with it and mayb get all grossed out!!! STUPID BUGGER!!!

We went secret recipe as well. my 1st time there... hrm... not as impressive as what i expected. mayb cos their menu is very different from norm.

i think the prospects of getting a job this holidays is very small. haiz. this is a sign...

that it's time to seriously start learning how to drive!

i've gotten lee hom's 'Love Rival, Beethovan' album already. n seriously it brings back lots of memories. to the time when i 1st heard it. it's really the sound of a youth lee hom was once in. It's just very sweet and pure.

My fave track is still track 6, '听雨'. it's just really like damn sweet. really warms my heart just hearing it.  

the cd was not in it's top condition albeit still being in it's factory sealed state, however, i'm not really very picky bout it. cos what can u expect from a cd dat has been ard for 10yrs? haha ^^

I asked the shop keeper whether he had Lee Hom's 2nd album and he told me that it will be v expensive, ard $50. haha yeah sounds shocking, but i must say it's amazing that the 2nd album is so hard to find. even those on taiwan yahoo auction are only selling that album in 2nd hand! dis 'Love Rival, Beethovan' which i got, even tho it's damn old, is actually 1st hand! arghz! if only i could turn back time, i would have gone back to the time when i was in sec 2 during the beijing trip and buy that album in cd, cos i actually bought dat album at that time, but in cassette. haven't played it in a while, i guess partly cos i'm afraid i'd find out that e cassette might not b in full working order =/ haiz!!!

now i kind of understand why older cds are always so much more valuable that those newer ones. it's because they capture a sound/voice of someone of the past. and this sound/voice cannot be found anywhere  else anymore. even if the same person is still alive, his voice will not be the same as before. our voice changes overtime, even if we are past puberty. and it is not only the voice which cannot be found anymore, it is also that kind of feeling he transends to the listener through that particular song at that particular time. even if he sings the exact song right now, he will sound so different in terms of voice quality and the overall feel of the song. just like when you hear lee hom's 'last night' in his evolution album, as compared to the original in his 1st album. it's just totally different. he's much more polished right now in terms of singing techniques, whether it's the need for dynamics or like how he knows what kind of feel he shd have for certain parts of a particular song. he did not have all these capabilities when he 1st sang dis song. however, when you listen to the original, u actually feel the song more. the lyrics make more sense, because he sounded more aggressive and young which actually makes you feel like he is really singing the song to the girl he's in love with but dare not tell her bout his feelings! haha!

haha seriously this reminds me about the topic of nostalgia which dr bishop talked about in film class last sem. people are always so nostalgic about a 'life they once had'. haha even tho this 'life' they long for does not actually exist! haha sheesh... must b the lateness of the night...

tonight has been a blast with great reality tv! haha!

First it was American Idol finale. Seriously e past few weeks have left me thinking that Bo is the deserving one for the Idol title. However, Carrie really saved the best for the last! Heh, tho i was like totally tearing out my hair when trying to recall who was the original singer for 'Angels brought me here'. but yar she was really good la. was surprised that the papers today said that Carrie was predicted to be the winner in a survey conducted amongst some ppl in the US. but i was really surprised when they did not have any performances by this year's top 12. Anyhow, i oso feel that Bo might not win cos he hadn't really gotten into his gear or into the mood throughout the night. Tho i loved his 'vehicle', i just felt he just was like a bit not sure what he was doing. haha but yar his 'set piece' (can't rem the song which he n Carrie both sang) was clearly more earnest than Carrie's, the arrangement for his was so much more suited to him.

Next was eye for a guy. so nervous man! haha was tearing out my hair when denise was about to announce the last guy who will still be on the show, cos it's between shan n howard! and denise did say dat the only problem she had with howard was that she wished he was more forthcoming bout his feelings towards her. yeah n i think he did somehow screw up on the dinner. but luckily shan's 'cheating' past caught up with him (that just proves that no one likes to be cheated upon, even such a gorgeous person like denise herself, can be afraid to find out if a bf cheated on her or had a 'cheating' *criminal record*) and i think the fact that denise's mum chose howard to be her date for dinner proved to be to his advantage. haha but yeah, great turn of events! Shan making a very major effort in winning her heart, Denise's horror when her frens tell her that Shan is TROUBLE!, Denise announcing that Shan was eliminated AND the HORROR OF HORRORS(!), Shan revealing his true colours when he was just absolutely furious with denise when she broke the news to him and him being such a spoil sport n initially resisting when she wanted to give him a hug! such a meanie! and he was SO SURE that he will end up with her! haha! the badboy turned nasty! wah! heh, so yar, heng that Howard was not eliminated. i hope he wins! he's such a sweet and funny guy heh!

tmr, i am going to city of chocolate! haha cannot wait, and also to receive my jap Lee Hom book! oh btw today i chanced upon a place where cds were dirt cheap! it's at the Adelphi lvl 4, actually by gramaphone. but cds/vcds/dvds/lds are going dirt cheap! cds going from $1. prices at $5.90, $9.90, $11.90. some of the cds are not sealed (mostly english albums), i guess they might have been used in the shops for sampling. but those still sealed are damn good deal la, some damn new, like jj's new album at $9.90. lotsa Daniel Chan albums, Da Pump albums/vcds, jap cds! lotsa very old stuff as well... and shiya told me she saw e poster got say that they change the stock every week! haha means it's an ongoing sale! haha how cool! but i din buy anything this time. haha tho it was super tempting, esp the daniel chan cds, nick carter cd (okie, i noe this sounds so vomit-y ) and also the sammi cheng greatest hits, but yeah they din really have any stuff dat i REALLY wanted to get. plus, I'M FREAKING BROKE AH! haha!
